Haven't used them long enough to rate how durable but first impression is very food. Absorbed more moisture than my old "thirsty stones" + a paper towel and seemed to dry quicker. Package isn't really very appealing for gifting but product would make a nice giftI have been using sandstone coasters, always. I love the pretty designs they are available in. Now, 45+ years later, I've finally said Enough! They have never actually absorbed the water my melting ice cubes create. My friends have always complained and resorted to putting napkins under their glasses, on top on the coasters. I read all the differing opinions on other options and, settled on trying out this felt set cuz I liked that they have a "rubber" holder that the felt coasters go inside of. I figured that was a good back up in case liquid soaked through the actual coaster. Well, I'm VERY happy to say, no problems AT ALL! I have melting ice cubes in a glass on one every evening, 4 hours straight, no puddles, no soak through. I feel the felt periodically, just to make sure. I've rotated coasters the next day, making sure this is true for all 4 coasters. No puddles, no more glass sticking to the coasters. I could not be happier with this purchase! I haven't had them very long so I'm not sure how they will hold up or clean but so far I love them!Work great best coasters everThese coasters are ace, I used to get irritated with drips from wet mugs and glasses and they also stuck to the mugs and glasses. They are so absorbent and have had no drips since buying them and no sticking to the mugs and glasses. A must buy!
