Exactly what I was looking for -- basic coasters that are thick enough to protect my furniture and inexpensive enough to throw away when they (eventually) get stained from my coffee mug. I bought several sets and I spread them all around when I have guests. If you intentionally bend them they will break, but they are surprisingly sturdy for cork coasters. They are flat, you can use either side, and they stack easily. Cork coasters won't scratch the furniture. These are great for what they are -- basic cork coasters.
